Dr. Criselda Reyes - Veterinarian

Criselda Reyes

Dr. Criselda Reyes began her veterinary journey in the California Bay Area and now calls the Lowcountry home.

Originally from Manila, Philippines, she earned her veterinary degree from the University of the Philippines – Los Baños and completed clinical training at Mississippi State University through the AVMA’s Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates. She also holds a postgraduate certification in Conservation Medicine from the University of Edinburgh. Before focusing on small animal practice, she built a diverse foundation in wildlife rescue, livestock health, and conservation education. Since 2015, she has practiced veterinary medicine in the U.S. and currently serves as a Veterinary Medical Officer for the U.S. Army Veterinary Services, caring for government-owned working dogs and the pets of service members. She has also volunteered in underserved communities in South America and the Philippines—work that remains close to her heart.

Dr. Reyes is committed to lifelong learning through continuing education and embraces technology to support evidence-based, high-quality care. She is especially passionate about developing personalized diagnostic and treatment approaches that reflect the unique needs of each patient and family. Her early years as a veterinary technician in both emergency and general practice gave her a strong foundation in hands-on skills and reinforced her collaborative, practical approach.

Outside of work, she enjoys RV camping adventures with her husband, son, and their two rescue dogs.
